Black Alumni Summit draws Hokies for a weekend of fellowship and productive conversations
Virginia Tech's fourth biennial Black Alumni Summit featured a three-day itinerary packed with networking, workshops, and fun.
The event focused on building community among students and alumni. Current students and alumni were invited to work together to build networks on and off campus.
During the summit, attendees developed plans to strengthen the black alumni network, and develop alumni programs to enhance student support and retention. University administrators also provided updates on current student needs, new initiatives from Student Support Services and Student Affairs, and information on a new mentoring program through Career and Professional Development.
