Media Advisory: Award-winning Virginia Tech FutureHAUS back from Dubai; Media preview now scheduled for April 3
The Virginia Tech ‘home of the future’ is back from the Solar Decathlon Middle East where it won first place overall.
What: The Virginia Tech ‘home of the future’ is back from the Solar Decathlon Middle East and beginning Wednesday April 3 will be set up and on display on the Drillfield. FutureHAUS won first place overall, and the team earned top three in nearly all sub-contests in Dubai last November. Student team leaders and lead faculty member Joe Wheeler will meet with members of the news media for tours and demonstrations.
When: Wednesday, April 3, 2019, 11:00 a.m.
Where: Virginia Tech Drillfield, near West Campus Drive

Interviews: Joe Wheeler, architecture professor and lead faculty of FutureHAUS along with student team members will be available for group or one-on-one interviews.
Note: Public viewing and tours of the FutureHAUS will be available daily beginning Friday, April 5 from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m., and will continue until Sunday, April 28. 2019.
