Dr. Kevin Lahmers joins veterinary college as clinical associate professor of anatomic pathology
Dr. Kevin Lahmers has joined the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech as a clinical associate professor of anatomic pathology in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Pathobiology.
Lahmers comes to the college from Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where he was an assistant professor in both the Paul G. Allen School of Global Animal Health and the Department of Microbiology and Pathology. He previously held an anatomic pathology residency at Washington State University.
In his new role, Lahmers will support the college’s teaching, research, and clinical efforts. He is board-certified in anatomic pathology by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.
Lahmers earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science and a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from The Ohio State University. He also completed a doctoral degree in veterinary anatomic pathology at Washington State University as part of a combined residency and Ph.D. program.
