The Community Design Assistance Center’s guiding philosophy is Healthy Living by Design — creating designs that take into consideration the health of the environment, as well as the well-being of the users. The center assists communities, neighborhood groups, and non-profit organizations in improving their natural and built environments through design, planning, policy, and research. Through the integration of the learning and working environments, the Community Design Assistance Center executes projects that link instruction and research and share its knowledge base with the general public.
