Attention Virginia Tech parents: Your student's favorite recipe may be served at campus dining centers

Virginia Tech parents will have the opportunity to give their student a special "home-made" treat this fall.

Hokie parents are invited to submit their student’s favorite recipe or recipes to Virginia Tech’s sixth annual “Home Sweet Home Recipe Contest.” Submitted recipes may be selected as one of the winning dishes that will be featured and served at university’s Home Sweet Home event to be held Friday, Oct. 19 in conjunction with Virginia Tech’s Family Day, Saturday, Oct. 20.

One name will be drawn from the selected recipes to receive two nights lodging (Oct. 19 and 20) for Family Day. In addition, the students of the winning families will receive $50 in university Dining Dollars. Winning recipes will be featured on the Student Programs website and in a cookbook available for purchase. All winners will be invited to the Home Sweet Home meal where they will receive a framed copy of their recipe, a cookbook, and a personalized Home Sweet Home cutting board.

Enter your recipe(s) online. All entries must be received by Friday, Aug 3. Winners will be notified Friday, Aug. 24.
