Category: research Video duration: Rejecting the status quo when building future infrastructure
Professor Tripp Shealy grew up on the east coast, where his family owned a construction company. Helping out on job sites and the impact of coastal hurricanes eventually led to an interest in civil engineering and design. Shealy wants his students to think "in a different way" about construction and believes the future is in industrial prefabrication and distribution where we can quickly rebuild after hurricane events.
