Students in the wildlife conservation capstone course led by Sarah Karpanty, Professor in the College of Natural Resources and Environment, are teaming up with Mill Mountain Zoo in Roanoke, Virginia. The seniors are working on enrichment activities that will help improve quality of life for the zoo's North American porcupines Sophia and Sam, including climbing boards and a plastic culvert.
