For the first time, the Fall recognition ceremony and reception for graduate students in the Greater Washington D.C., Area was held at Academic Building One in Alexandria. Family and friends packed Boeing Auditorium to watch nearly 60 students receive master's and doctoral degrees from programs based in the D.C. Area.

On behalf of the university community, it's my pleasure to welcome you to the Fall 2025 Recognition Ceremony for graduates. To the graduates, congratulations on achieving this accomplishment. You now join an elite and growing number of Hokie alumni endowed with the skills and knowledge to better serve your community, the nation, and the world. now that you've reached this pinnacle I encourage you to take a moment to pause to reflect and take pride in all of the hard work that you did and the dedication it took for you to arrive here you have earned this pat yourself on the back recognize the mountain you just climbed because this this is not the end this is just one of the many accomplishments you will achieve go forward with confidence, lead with purpose, and serve with compassion. Thank you in advance for all the remarkable things you will do to make this a better world for all of us. Congratulations again graduates and go Hokies!
