Professor of Architecture and Co-director of Virginia Tech's Center for Design Research, Joseph Wheeler M.A. '95, works with students from the College of Architecture, Arts, and Design as well as the College of Engineering to create a sustainable building for the new Solar Decathlon competition called Gateway Decathlon. Students build onto the floor trusses they designed with Van Metre's Director of Design and Estimating, Darek Jadlowski '10.
