        <description><![CDATA[ In the upper-level studio course Topics in Sculpture: Metalworking and Casting, students in the School of Visual Arts spent 11 weeks navigating the complex, hands-on process of sculptural casting. Working alongside Sam Blanchard, associate professor of sculpture, they worked in the College of Engineering’s Kroehling Advanced Materials Foundry, moving through experimentation, setbacks, and refinement while gaining insight into both material and method. Along the way, they developed a deeper appreciation for process, patience, and the value of working across multiple artistic mediums. ]]></description>
