Free spay surgeries for your pets available at veterinary college

Students posing with their patient before performing a spay surgery. The dog is a part of the Animal Instructor program through the VTH.

From: Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine

The veterinary college is looking for new candidates to join our Animal Instructors Program to help teach our pre-clinical students spay surgeries.

Our students have spent the last two years getting ready for their first surgical procedure and now we need unspayed female cat and dog animal instructors to complete our team. The students will be working alongside experienced veterinary faculty members.

All services provided for your pet are free of charge. Pets will stay for three days, teaching students about pre-operative preparation, surgery, and post-operative care.

Please visit the Animal Instructors Program web page to see if your pet qualifies.

If you have questions about the program please email us at cvmaip@vt.edu.
