Learn the many ways to access information sources for free
From: University Libraries
Information abounds, but not all of it is freely available. Fortunately, University Libraries provides access to millions of resources at no cost to the Virginia Tech community.
"How do I get information sources for free? Come learn the many ways ..." is a 30-minute Zoom session that introduces attendees to the University Libraries' Discovery Search, subject databases, LibKey, Get VText, ILL, and other services.

Register for the 5:15 - 5:45 p.m. session
This session is part of the University Libraries Health Sciences Libraries (HSLs) HSLs Quick Tips & Tricks series of 30-minute sessions held via Zoom on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. To accommodate different schedules, they are held once at 12:15 p.m. and again at 5:15 p.m.
Each month will cover a specific topic that relates to library resources or the scholarly and research landscape. While some topics will have themes that carry across months, each session is designed to stand-alone.
Attendees will be able to immediately put the information and skills covered into practice. While the examples used in these sessions are geared toward those in the health sciences, anyone who has an interest in the topic is welcome to attend.
If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, welcome! Please email library-event-accessibility@groups.office365.vt.edu at least 10 days prior to the event.
