Hokie Hiccups: Real stories of real slip-ups on March 25

From: Hokie Wellness

Often it can feel like you’re the only one struggling or making mistakes while everyone else has it together. But everyone faces challenges along the way, and that’s okay. That’s what resilience is about!

Tuesday, March 25, at 5 p.m. in the Creativity and Innovation District, Hokie Wellness' Mental Health Initiative presents the sixth annual Hokie Hiccups to acknowledge and celebrate the struggles or hiccups we’ve all experienced in our lives.

It’s an opportunity for Hokies to share their growth experiences through spoken word and other expressive mediums. This year, the theme for the event is "It's me — hi, I'm the problem, it's me!"

Join Hokie Wellness to celebrate Hokie Hiccups and connect with others as we come together to destigmatize mental health in a supportive, inviting environment. Besides the main event, there will be tabling, food, and a lot of free giveaways all night long, including raffle prizes sourced from local small businesses around Blacksburg and Christiansburg!

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, please contact Colleen Driscoll at colleenmd@vt.edu during regular business hours at least 10 days prior to the event.
