Student Affairs invites you to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the university community at the next Aspire! Awards breakfast celebration on Feb. 21 from 8 to 10 a.m. at The Inn at Virginia Tech. This event will honor five student winners and one staff member who have exemplified Student Affairs' five  Aspirations for Student Learning.

The February Aspire! Award winners are:

  • Commit to Unwavering Curiosity: Amanda Andress Hensley, graduate student in the Translational Biology, Medicine, and Health Doctoral program, studying public health and implementation science
  • Pursue Self-Understanding and Integrity: Caroline McInnish in the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, majoring in public health
  • Practice Civility: Smrithi Satish in the College of Natural Resources and Environment, majoring in environmental conservation & society and minoring in blue planet
  • Prepare for a Courageous Life of Leadership: Alexader Efird in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, majoring in political science and smart & sustainable cities
  • Embrace Ut Prosim as a Way of Life: Sydney Weeks in the College of Engineering, majoring in industrial and systems engineering and minoring in computer science: science, technology and law
  • Faculty & Staff Award for Commit to Unwavering Curiosity: Tammy Connley, evenings housekeeping manager with Student Affairs facilities
