Student Affairs is now accepting nominations for our Aspire! Awards, celebrations for 2024-25! Anyone in the university community can nominate any Virginia Tech student and faculty or staff member who exemplifies one of Virginia Tech’s five Aspirations for Student Learning.
The Aspirations for Student Learning represent the pinnacle of Virginia Tech’s aspirations for and expectations of students. They are:
- Commit to unwavering CURIOSITY
- Pursue SELF-UNDERSTANDING and INTEGRITY
- Practice CIVILITY
- Prepare for a life of COURAGEOUS LEADERSHIP
- Embrace UT PROSIM as a way of life
A total of 25 students and five faculty or staff members will be selected as Aspire! Award recipients during the 2024-25 academic year, so it is highly encouraged to nominate a student, faculty, or staff member today!
CELEBRATE WITH US! REGISTER FOR OUR ASPIRE! AWARDS BREAKFASTS
The university community is also encouraged to join us for one or more of our Aspire! Awards celebration breakfasts! This year's dates:

- Aspire Self-Understanding and Integrity - Friday, Dec. 6
- Aspire Civility - Friday, Feb. 21, 2025
- Aspire Courageous Leadership - Friday, March 21, 2025
- Aspire Ut Prosim - Friday, May 2, 2025
All award celebrations are held in the Latham Ballroom at the Inn at Virginia Tech from 8 to 10 a.m. A full breakfast will be served. To RSVP for one, two, or all five breakfasts, please do so here.
