Research Resilience in a Changing Federal Funding Landscape: Faculty Town Hall

Virginia Tech is working to support faculty research resilience as the federal funding landscape continues to change in significant and unprecedented ways.

The Office of Research and Innovation, in partnership with the Office of Faculty Affairs, will host a faculty town hall to provide updates, address questions and concerns from the university community, and share information about resources available to faculty, staff, and students.

August 31, 10 – 11 a.m.

Register: In-Person (Steger Hall Auditorium)

Register: Zoom

Join Dan Sui, senior vice president for research and innovation, and Ron Fricker, vice provost for faculty affairs, who will review the current federal funding landscape and its implications for Virginia Tech’s research enterprise. They will discuss potential policy and priority changes, highlight university planning and response efforts, and outline steps being taken to maintain a vibrant, impactful, and resilient research and innovation ecosystem.

Faculty, staff, students, and members of the university research community are invited to attend in person or via Zoom. Participants are also encouraged to submit questions in advance when registering.
