Workshop: Unlocking the power of AI in research

Researchers and administration are invited to join the Office of Research and Innovation, the Division of Information Technology, and guest speakers for an engaging, hands-on workshop designed to help harness the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) responsibly and effectively.

This event offers a unique opportunity to explore strategies that can enhance research productivity, amplify results, and stay ahead in an evolving academic landscape.

What to expect:

  • Discover ways AI can support various stages of research, from finding funding to proposing to executing research programs.
  • Learn about available tools and pathways for incorporating AI into research.
  • Gain an understanding of high-risk actions and data considerations to ensure ethical and compliant use.
  • Explore practical examples across disciplines.

The workshop will take place on Feb. 27 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center.
