Intern Industry Nights to connect students and employers in the Roanoke Valley

From: The Region 2 Internship Collaborative

The V-TOP Region 2 Internship Collaborative is hosting two events in the Roanoke region to help connect students looking for internship opportunities.

These boutique-style events will emphasize conversational networking, allowing students to explore specific local industry opportunities in a more personal and focused environment.

Participation is limited to five students per local institution, selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who don’t secure one of the first five spots will be waitlisted. Students must prepare a resume to submit during registration, which will serve as their ticket and will be shared with all attending employers.

The events are collaboratively planned and hosted by Ferrum College, Hollins University, Mountain Gateway Community College, Radford University, Roanoke College, Roanoke Regional Partnership, Virginia Tech Career and Professional Development, Virginia Career Works (Blue Ridge Region), Virginia Talent + Opportunity Partnership, and Virginia Western Community College.

These events are part of V-TOP's work to increase the opportunity and visibility of high-quality internships, facilitate pathways to professions, and encourage graduates to live and work in Virginia by creating more high-quality opportunities.

If you are a Region 2 employer or local student in higher education who needs support to attend these events or if you need more information on the Region 2 Internship Collaborative, contact program coordinator Brenna Valle by email or at 540-553-6289.
