Study Abroad Photo Contest accepting submissions June 1
From: Global Education Office
The Global Education Office will hold this year’s Study Abroad Photo Contest over the summer. Hokies who participated in study abroad will have a chance to relive and share their experiences with the campus community.
The Photo Contest is open to Virginia Tech’s current undergraduate and graduate students, and faculty and staff. Students from other universities who have participated in a Virginia Tech-sponsored international program can also contribute. Entrants must be participating in or have recently participated (no earlier than academic year 2022-23) in a study abroad, service learning, volunteer, research, or internship abroad program, or traveled on university business.
Submission(s) must be the product of the entrant’s study abroad/international experience; this may include Virginia Tech faculty-led, bilateral exchanges, ISEP, non-Virginia Tech programs, and autonomous study. Photos may include locations traveled to during free time but must have occurred within the official program dates. Photos must have been taken by the individual submitting the entry.
Winning photos and runners-up will be featured on the Global Education Office’s social media pages and printed for display. Student winners will receive a cash prize. Winners among faculty, staff, and recent graduates will receive nonmonetary awards.
Entries will be collected from June 1 – 30, with voting beginning later in the summer.
