Registration is open for the summer Strengths Academy, to be held on June 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the North End Center in Blacksburg. It’s a one-day professional development experience built around CliftonStrengths®, Gallup's research-based framework for identifying and applying an individual's natural talents at work.
Strengths Academy is designed for university employees who want to leverage CliftonStrengths to enhance their effectiveness in supervision, advising, teaching, or team leadership.
Participants will explore Gallup’s Strength philosophy, learn to navigate the Strengths portal, and dig into their Top 5 talent themes along with the four domains. The day includes hands-on practice with Team Grids and Powerful Partnerships tools, a networking lunch with experienced Strengths consultants, and collaborative game-based work to connect learning to participants' professional roles. Attendees will leave with practical tools and a clearer sense of how to apply their CliftonStrengths in their everyday work.
Participants must complete the CliftonStrengths assessment prior to attending.
