Find flexible caregiving jobs for students with Care.com

Know students who could use a little extra cash but cannot commit to full time work? Introduce them to Care.com. Becoming a Caregiver on Care.com allows student to begin to offer services like part-time childcare, tutoring, pet sitting or walking, senior care, and housework.
Students can receive the $23.99/year Care.com Basic Membership with a 50 percent discount by using the code VTCARES through Aug. 14.
The Basic Membership includes:
- Set up your account for your profile to appear across multiple services, such as childcare and tutoring
- Customizable public profile
- In depth job search
- Ability to receive booking requests*
- In-app messaging with potential clients. Site resources and tools such as hiring guides and rate calculators for nannies, babysitters, and more
- Ability to complete required Care.com Background Check screening prior to interacting with families
Note: A service fee is charged for each completed booking. The fee will be shown on the booking payment details page when you accept a booking request.
Students can upgrade to the Premium Membership at $6.99 for the first month, and $10.99/month thereafter for access to the following features:
- Be featured in search results with a Premium badge
- Care.com Background Check is included
Student caregivers with Care.com are encouraged to state in the first line of their public profile that they are Virginia Tech students. All Virginia Tech employees have a Premium Membership to Care.com and often seek Virginia Tech students for hire.
