Register your bike for 2026-27

A new school year brings a new and improved way to register your personal transportation devices on campus. Virginia Tech has partnered with Bike Index, the nation’s largest and most effective bike registration and recovery service, to provide personal transportation device users with a simple and secure way to register their bikes, scooters, skateboards, and more.
Registration is free and required for students, faculty, and staff who regularly park a transportation device on campus. Your registration is only complete once the Bike Index sticker is properly affixed to your device.
After selecting your transportation device on the Bike Index website, you must visit one of the following locations to pick up a physical Bike Index sticker for your personal transportation device:
The Hokie Bike Hub - weekdays from the hours of 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Hokie Passport Services - weekdays from the hours of 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Parking Services - weekdays from the hours of 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (closed daily from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
