Summer construction work to occur on the Blacksburg campus
From: Division of Facilities
Summer is often viewed as a time for relaxation and unwinding, but for Virginia Tech’s Division of Facilities, summer break serves as an opportunity to increase operations across the Blacksburg campus to position the university for a successful upcoming academic year.
Teams divisionwide have started, will continue, and will complete various projects ranging from capital construction to renovations, maintenance, and grounds projects on the Blacksburg campus.
Those in and around the Blacksburg campus should prepare for impacts to campus by referencing the ongoing summer work communicated on the Blacksburg Campus Impacts page.
Pedestrians should exercise caution and follow posted directional signage when navigating these areas.
Because of the evolving nature of these projects, accessible and pedestrian pathways as well as emergency and delivery vehicle access are subject to change. Changes in routes will be communicated via Virginia Tech News, the interactive campus and campus closures maps, Division of Facilities X account and Instagram account, and directional signage.
