Spring 2026 commencement parking information

Parking for the general public during the commencement ceremonies taking place in Cassell Coliseum and Lane Stadium, from May 13 through May 16, will be available without payment in the following lots: the Coliseum Lot/1, the Stadium Lot /2, Maintenance Lot/3, Track Soccer Lot/4, and the Chicken Hill Lot/5.

Parking in other areas of campus, including the Drillfield, will follow campus parking regulations and require payment of a fee or the display of a valid parking permit. More information on daily parking on the Blacksburg campus can be found on the Parking Services website. Parking can be purchased in a range of flexible time increments via the ParkMobile app.
Please note, the West Stadium Lot (outside of the stadium towers) will be restricted to authorized vehicles only during commencement.
Parking for ceremonies in the Center for the Arts
The North End Parking Garage will be available for guests to park one hour prior to the start of ceremonies at the Center for the Arts. Parking will be available beginning at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, and 6 p.m. Friday. Guests should use the level 3 entrance off Turner Street.
Where is parking for ceremonies in Burruss?
The Perry Street Garage will be available for guests to park on Thursday and Saturday at no cost. A Parking Quick Guide for campus can be found online.
Guests should enter through the front of Burruss Hall. Guest ADA access is available through the tunnel.
Alternative transportation
The community is encouraged to utilize Blacksburg Transit's (BT) bus network to get to and from commencement. Blacksburg Transit commencement detours and service is available online.
Accessible parking
ADA parking will be available in the reserved section of Coliseum (Lot/1), as well as the reserved section of Stadium (Lot/2) for ceremonies in Lane Stadium. Additional accessible parking may be found online using the campus interactive map.
