Traveling between Blacksburg and the National Capital Region is easier than ever with new, lower individual fares on Virginia Tech’s Campus Connect Bus.

Leave the I-81 driving to the professional Campus Connect drivers. The Campus Connect Bus provides employees, students, and their guests with safe and convenient transportation between the university's campuses in Blacksburg, Roanoke, and the Greater Washington, D.C., metro area.

Effective July 1, 2019, individual fares will be $65 per rider, one-way; group fares will continue to be $50 per rider, one-way. Group rates are available for groups of three riders or more, purchased through Hokie Mart.

The bus departs twice daily each weekday and once each weekend from both Blacksburg and Arlington/Ballston. The bus also makes a stop in Salem at I-81 Exit 140 at the Park and Ride. Campus Connect operates year-round with the exception of university holidays.

Amenities on the full-size Campus Connect charter buses include free Wi-Fi, electrical outlets at each seat, a restroom, reclining seats, work tables/trays, snacks, and reading lights.

Students, faculty, and staff (with a PID and two factor authentication capabilities) are eligible to purchase tickets. Payment for business trips can be made with a credit or debit card or by using Hokie Mart.  Payment for personal trips can be made with a credit or debit card. Tickets go on sale two weeks in advance of each trip’s scheduled departure.

All riders will be required to present a valid photo ID when boarding.
