If your Hokie Passport ID card is lost or stolen, be sure to deactivate it immediately to prevent unauthorized use. Deactivation can be done instantly by logging into the Hokie Passport Services website and selecting the "Deactivate Your Card" button. Alternatively, Hokie Passport IDs can be deactivated by calling Hokie Passport Services at 540-231-5121 during normal business hours (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday) or by contacting the Virginia Tech Police Department at 540-231-6411 at other times.
Accompanied by Virginia Tech Police Officers Jamal Jackson and Eric McDearis, Ringo the Patrol Pony recently visited Hokie Passport Services to facilitate the return of lost Hokie Passport ID cards. Upon their arrival, Ringo turned over the found IDs to the Hokie Passport Services team, making the process seamless. Expressing appreciation for Ringo's assistance, Joe Griffitts, the Director of Hokie Passport Services, stated, "It is always great to see Ringo! We greatly appreciate the return of these lost IDs and admire Ringo’s willingness to help others. He is a true Hokie!"
If someone finds an ID card, they can follow Ringo's example and return the card to Hokie Passport Services or the Virginia Tech Police Department. To check if Ringo turned in a lost ID, contact Hokie Passport Services.
