Water outage affecting several Blacksburg campus buildings

Editors Note: Repairs are complete. Water service restored.

Due to a water main break that occurred at approximately 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, several buildings located in the Plantation Road area of the Blacksburg campus are experiencing domestic and fire water outages. 

The buildings affected include:

• Alphin-Stuart Arena Livestock Teaching Arena 
  
• The Equitation Barn
• Mining and Minerals Engineering Research Facility
• Copenhaver Sheep Center

During this time, domestic water will be unavailable including for bathrooms and water fountains. 

Updates on the restoration of service will be shared via Virginia Tech News.
