Bike to Work Day is open to everyone in Blacksburg. Here are some tips to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride to campus:

  • Check Your Bike: Make sure your bicycle is in good working condition. Assistance is available at the Hokie Bike Hub at no cost.
  • Wear Proper Gear: Essential summer biking gear includes a helmet, lock, and water bottle.
  • Plan Your Route: For those new to biking, choose trails and roads with dedicated bike lanes. You can use Google Maps for bicycle routes or seek assistance from the Hokie Bike Hub.
  • Find a Riding Buddy: Riding with someone can make your commute more enjoyable. Connect with friends or family, or register at the RIDE Solutions website to find a companion on a similar route.
