Services offered at the Virginia Tech Sign Shop

The Virginia Tech Sign Shop serves as a liaison between customers/departments and external vendors in order to process designs and proofs, maintain brand compliance, and schedule installations.

Products include:

Laser Engraved Items: 

• University standard room signs and directional signage

• Desk mounted nameplates

• Plastic tags for equipment/labeling

• Wooden/metal/plastic plaques

• Pens/pencils

• Gifts

  • Mugs, clocks, bottle openers, leather portfolio cases, flashlights

     

Digital Printing

• Vinyl

  • Frosted window/door glass coverage

  • Frosted, white, black, or colored lettering and approved logos

  • ‘Yard style’ plastic signs

  • Plastic A-frames for larger signs

• Vehicle Decals

  • Bumper stickers

  • Larger vehicle side/back decals

• Small personal use/promotional stickers

• Thin ‘refrigerator’ style magnets

  • Larger hanging banners

  • ‘Pop-up’ banners with table top or floor stands

Please note, in accordance with University Policy 5405, all non-capital design, construction, renovation, and maintenance of university-owned facilities, and the installation of equipment (including signage) within those facilities, shall be accomplished under the management, direction, and delegation of the Division of Campus Planning, Infrastructure, and Facilities.

This policy does not apply to leased facilities and portable equipment.
