Report physical, digital and parking barriers on campus

Virginia Tech is committed to ensuring equal access and strives to maintain a barrier-free environment. With that in mind, students, faculty, and staff are urged to report any physical, digital or parking barriers to ADA & Accessibility Services of the Office for Civil Rights Compliance and Prevention Education while on campus.

Here are the ways to report barriers:

• Physical: These include items such as an inoperative elevator or chair lift, a blocked pathway, or an inaccessible entrance. Physical access barriers may be reported by filling out the physical barrier online form.
• Digital: Web pages (both static pages and those containing dynamic content like interactive maps), and electronic documents such as PDFs or Microsoft Office files can also present a barrier for some users. Barriers to digital access may be reported by using the digital barrier online form. The information provided will be shared with the people required to resolve the reported issue.
• Parking: Unauthorized vehicles can block accessible parking spaces, access aisles, curb ramps, building entrances, and accessible routes. Barriers to accessible parking or accessible routes may be reported by emailing parking@vt.edu. Reports should include the exact location and, when possible, the vehicle description and license plate number. Parking Services will review the information and dispatch enforcement personnel.
