One application, over 10 scholarships!

Current students can complete the Student Affairs Scholarship Application to be considered for a variety of Student Affairs scholarships.

From: The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs

Too often, students underestimate the impact they've made on Virginia Tech’s campus. Activities like leading student organization meetings, volunteering your time, supporting a campus event, or helping your peers navigate a difficult semester... they matter. These experiences strengthen our community, embody our Aspirations for Student Learning, and demonstrate the leadership that Student Affairs is proud to celebrate.

As Student Affairs continues to invest in your success, we're launching a new opportunity designed to recognize and support the impact you're already making.

Beginning this fall, current students can complete the Student Affairs Scholarship Application to be considered for a variety of Student Affairs scholarships that recognize leadership, service, campus involvement, and participation in programs supported by Student Affairs. This new application creates space for you to reflect on how your leadership style has evolved, ways you've contributed to your community, and how Ut Prosim (That I May Serve) continues to shape your approach to service. We want to learn about the moments that helped you become who you are today.

It’s one application that counts for over 10 scholarships.

How to apply

First, sign into to Scholarship Central to complete the Virginia Tech General Scholarship Application. After you've submitted it, the Student Affairs Scholarship Application will become available in your Scholarship Central portal. The application opened on Aug. 3, 2026, and will remain available through Jan. 22, 2027 for current Virginia Tech students.

As we return to campus for another semester, I encourage every student to reflect on their journey so far and consider applying. Leadership takes many forms, and some of the most meaningful contributions happen quietly, through everyday acts of service, kindness, and collaboration. These efforts make Virginia Tech stronger.

Student Affairs is committed to helping every student thrive, and this new scholarship application is one more way we hope to invest in your journey.

Thank you and GO HOKIES!

Frances Keene, Ph.D.
Vice President for Student Affairs
