Participants needed for virtual reality research study

The 3DI Lab is investigating the visual detectability of hand gestures used to operate mixed-reality (MR) systems to prevent external observation. Working in partnership with DARPA, the project seeks to model detectability likelihood for various movements and gestures in various simulated environments.

 

Researchers are currently recruiting volunteer participants who are 18 years or older with no known hearing, speech, uncorrected vision or motor/facial movement disorders.

 

Researchers will give a $20 gift card for a two-hour session. You may also be invited back for up to total of five sessions with a $20 gift card for each session.

 

Data collection will take place in Gilbert Hall, room 3215.
