Lifelong Learning Institute seeks spring 2027 proposals

From: Continuing and Professional Education

Continuing and Professional Education is seeking proposals for its Lifelong Learning Institute of Virginia Tech’s spring 2027 term.

University faculty, graduate students, LLI members, and community members are welcome to submit their ideas for courses, special events, and field trips that support curiosity, connection, and lifelong learning.

Through courses, lectures, special events, and field trips, LLI draws on the region’s vast academic and community resources to create enriching programming for curious adults age 50 and older.

Proposals may cover a wide range of topics, including research, current issues, arts and culture, history, science, technology, personal enrichment, and other areas of expertise or interest. Prospective instructors are invited to share their knowledge with community members through a short course, single-session program, special event, or field trip.

Visit the LLI instructors webpage for proposal forms, teaching resources, and more information. Questions may be directed to program committee co-chairs Nancy Metz and Molly McClintock.
