Save the date for New Faculty Welcome 2026

The New Faculty Welcome program is an annual event offered by the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, with contributions from other university units that support Virginia Tech faculty.

This event, which is separate and different from the orientation sessions provided by the Human Resources department, is designed to provide overview information about the university, hear from other faculty, and network with new faculty and leadership. This year's event will be held on Aug. 17-18. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

The program provides breakout informational sessions for Administrative and Professional Faculty and Teaching and Research Faculty. This targeted program content is designed to address the specific needs and interests of the different faculty groups.

All new faculty members hired between Aug. 10, 2025, and Aug. 10, 2026, are invited and encouraged to attend this important program. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.

Registration for this event will open in June 2026. Please check the New Faculty Welcome website occasionally for updates, registration information, and the developing agenda.
