Three-day workshop to explore use of AI in project management

AI tools are increasingly being used to support documentation, communication, planning, and information management across industries. A new three-day workshop, “AI-Enabled Project Management,” is designed to help professionals responsible, practical ways to use AI to strengthen project management practices and workflows.
- When: June 24-26 from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. daily
- Where: Virginia Tech Roanoke Center, in-person attendance is encouraged with optional virtual participation available.
- Cost: $1,495
Led by Darryl Agee, an adjunct professor in the Pamplin College of Business and an experienced project management practitioner and trainer, the workshop will explore how AI can support project planning, communication, documentation, and workflow management through hands-on exercises grounded in project management fundamentals.
No coding or technical AI background is required. The workshop is built around real project management scenarios and focuses on practical workplace applications.
Participants will practice using AI to help:
- Draft and refine project communications.
- Organize meeting notes and action items.
- Create structured project documentation.
- Develop repeatable templates and workflows.
- Support stakeholder updates and reporting.
- Improve consistency across project processes.
- Streamline information gathering and organization.
