Free virtual workshop to help turn data into insights
From: Newport News Center
If you work with data — even occasionally — you know how quickly spreadsheets can become overwhelming.
A free virtual workshop on June 9 from noon to 1 p.m. will help participants move from spreadsheet basics to more efficient, polished, and impactful ways of working with data.
Led by Barbara Fraticelli, an associate professor of practice in the Pamplin College of Business, this interactive workshop will cover:
- Practical ways to organize and streamline data.
- Techniques to build clear, professional visuals (charts, dashboards, and summaries).
- Tips to save time with formulas, formatting, and shortcuts.
- Guidance on turning raw data into insights that others can quickly understand.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own spreadsheet challenges. Time will be set aside for real-time problem-solving and Q&A.
The registration form includes a section where participants may describe specific spreadsheet challenges so the session can be tailored to their needs. Participants also may upload screenshots or a sample spreadsheet to provide additional context.
