Register for upcoming Bridge Experience Program information sessions
From: Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs
A request for applications is now available for the next cohort of the Bridge Experience Program.
Academic programs in the Bridge Experience Program (BEP) work with the Academy for Experiential Learning (AEL) to implement an undergraduate experiential learning requirement as part of Virginia Tech’s strategic plan and Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). For those departments with an existing experiential learning requirement, joining the BEP will benefit your program through the numerous support and services offered by AEL, as well as those provided by the Bridge community.
Bridge experiences support students’ career exploration and enable them to apply academic learning in a real-world setting. Potential Bridge opportunities include undergraduate research, internships, service learning, study abroad or other site-based experiences matching student post-graduation goals and approved by departmental faculty.
The application deadline for programs starting in Summer 2026 is March 13. Decision emails will be sent by April 10.
