University Ombuds Office presents 'The Language of Connection: A Five-Month Learning Series'
From: University Ombuds Office
What if no conversation felt too hard to have? The Language of Connection is a five-session learning series, offered over five months, for those who want to build skills in Nonviolet Communication (NVC). This practice, developed by Marshall Rosenberg, helps us express what matters most to us even in challenging moments. Its insights are grounded in transformative perspectives on communication, relationships, and self-understandings.
Through monthly 90-minute sessions held via Zoom, participants will explore practical tools to communicate with clarity, listen with empathy, and navigate conflict with care. Each session offers space for reflection, discussion, and practice, supporting growth and integration over time. In addition to monthly sessions, participants are asked to make time to practice for one hour weekly with another participant.
Join us to learn a language that builds understanding and connection in your work, relationships, and community.
Sessions will be held on the following Thursdays from 10-11:30 a.m.: Jan. 8, Feb. 12, March 12, April 9, and May 7.
Limited spaces remain. Register here.
