Check out the Wellness Fair offerings at Employee Appreciation and Hokie Wellness Fair on May 21

Faculty, staff, and non-student wage employees, local to the Blacksburg campus and surrounding region are invited to attend the Employee Appreciation and Hokie Wellness Fair on Wednesday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Lane Stadium.

The Hokie Wellness Fair, co-sponsored by Grant Irby, Realtor, and Warm Hearth Village, will host approximately 60 benefits, health, wellness, and other exhibitors.

The Wellness Fair will also offer:

  • Pneumococcal/pneumonia, shingles, tetanus/whooping cough, COVID-19, and hepatitis A and B vaccines provided by Blacksburg Pharmacy, and health screenings throughout the fair.
  • Food drive (perishable items, no chicken noodle soup please) for The Market at Virginia Tech. Those donating at the fair will be entered into a raffle for a 40-ounce Stanley Quencher.
  • Demonstrations by Virginia Tech Transportation Institute’s (VTTI) Sharing the Road with Trucks program for participants selected by lottery. Complete this form by May 15 for a chance to sit in a big rig!
  • 15-minute massages for participants selected by lottery. Complete this form by May 15 for a chance at receiving a massage during the event.
  • Appearances from the Virginia Tech Cook Counseling Center therapy dogs.

Lunch will be available during the entire event. A complimentary buffet-style lunch will be available in the West concourse and South end zone and will include various dietary options like baked chicken, hamburgers, Beyond Meat burgers, potato salad, pasta salad, coleslaw, and fruit. A gluten-free station with hamburgers and Beyond Meat burgers on gluten-free rolls, salads, and brownies. Last but not least, ice cream at Gate 3!
