The Institute for Critical Technology and Applied Science (ICTAS)’s Doctoral Scholar Poster Symposium will be Thursday, April 24, from 1:30 – 4 p.m. in 310 Kelly Hall. No registration is required.
The symposium showcases research from the institute’s doctoral scholars, with the scholars present throughout the session to answer questions about their work.
The program partners with faculty and departments in partnering colleges, including:
- College of Engineering
- College of Natural Resources and Environment
- College of Science
- College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
- Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine

The ICTAS Doctoral Scholars Program helps attract top graduate students to Virginia Tech, strengthening the university’s research programs and increasing the diversity of educational, research, and experiential backgrounds represented on campus. This program offers faculty and departments in partnering colleges an opportunity to nominate exceptional Ph.D. applicants for a competitive four-year fellowship. The overall aim of the program is to support the advancement of the Virginia Tech academic, research, teaching, and service missions through inclusive excellence.
