The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets’ Class of 2028 will complete the second half of the Caldwell March on Saturday, April 26, to mark the end of their first year of training.

Skipper, the Corps of Cadets cannon, will be fired as the cadets return to Upper Quad between 2 and 4 p.m. Actual time will depend on weather and road conditions.

This is the second half of the 26-mile march made in commemoration of the journey Addison Caldwell, Virginia Tech’s first cadet and student, made to Virginia Tech in 1872. While first-year cadets usually complete the first 13 miles of the march in October, last semester the regiment chose instead to provide Hurricane Helene relief to neighboring Giles County.
