Original message

Zoom is experiencing a global outage across all aspects of their services including video meetings, phone, and chat. We are advising all members of the university community (all students, employees) to pivot to using Microsoft Teams where possible.

This KB article provides instructions on how to initiate a meeting in Microsoft Teams.

Please also note that most university phones are not operating during this outage. All are advised to use a personal (non-VT) cell phone or a dedicated emergency phone to call 911 in case of an emergency.

We will continue to share updates as this issue is resolved.
