Annual registration requirements for student organizations: Complete by June 1

Each year, all student organizations are required to submit registration forms to Student Engagement and Campus Life to ensure all student organization databases are accurate and that all new leaders are aware of the expectations for student organizations to remain in good standing.
Registration is available now for Registered Student Organizations (RSO), which represents a majority of student organizations on our campus. University Chartered Student Organizations (UCSO) will complete their registration beginning on April 25 and University Student Life Programs (USLP) will receive separate communication about their requirements. Definitions and more information for each organization type can be found in Policy 8010.
These forms are submitted via the internal management of the organization's GobblerConnect profile. A tutorial for accessing and completing the forms can be found here. If students or advisors have any questions about this process, please contact thesource@vt.edu and include the full official name of the organization you're representing.
Our Student Organization Development team will send regular communication to remind students of these requirements. We'd appreciate assistance from any faculty and staff who work closely with student organizations to support these efforts by directly encouraging your students to complete registration in a timely manner.
To participate in Gobblerfest and start the Fall 2025 semester with full student organization privileges, all student organizations must complete all registration requirements via GobblerConnect by the June 1 deadline.
A make-up registration process will be available in September for organizations that miss this deadline, but those groups will not have access to student organization privileges, including reserving space and requesting funding, until they have completed the registration requirements.
