VirTual Safe Zone registration is open for Spring 2 Session:  March 17 - April 25. (No class the week of April 7 for Pride Week)

VirTual Safe Zone 101 

This course is the first installment of Virginia Tech's VirTual Safe Zone series. It offers an introduction to LGBTQ+ identities and issues, which serves as the foundation for VirTual Trans Safe Zone and the VirTual Safe Zone electives and must be completed before participants may register for either of the other two courses. This is a five-week online course that includes weekly readings, discussion boards, and a live discussion lab.

Queer U.S. History Pre-Stonewall: A VirTual Safe Zone Elective

This course is the third installment of Virginia Tech's VirTual Safe Zone series. This course offers an introduction to the queer and trans history of this land prior the founding of the United States and leading up to the Stonewall riots in 1969.  Participants must have successfully completed VirTual Safe Zone 101 and VirTual Trans Safe Zone before signing up for this elective. This is a 5 week online course that includes weekly readings, discussion boards, and a live discussion lab.
