DMV Connect returns to Blacksburg campus

From: Hokie Wellness

DMV Connect, a service of the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), returns to the Blacksburg campus on Wednesday, March 26, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the North End Center, room 2410.

DMV Connect will process a wide range of transactions such as driver licenses and identification cards (Real ID and standard), title and registration, transcripts, disabled parking placards, address changes, compliance, and vital record documents (birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates, which will be mailed to customers).

If you are getting a driver’s license or identification card, the DMV encourages you to get the REAL ID. For a one-time $10 fee, in addition to the standard credential fees you are already paying, you can upgrade your driver’s license or identification card to a REAL ID and avoid the replacement card fee you’d be charged if you decide to upgrade to REAL ID at a later date prior to your next renewal.

Starting May 7, 2025, the federal government will require a REAL ID compliant driver’s license, identification card, or another federally approved identification form to board a domestic flight.

Specific documents are needed to obtain your driver’s license, identification cards and more.

Appointments are required and available throughout the day except from 12:30-1:30 p.m. for lunch. Questions may be directed to Hokie Wellness at hokiewellness@vt.edu
