Lunch and Learns for Working Parents: Strategies to support children’s well-being
From: Early Childhood Education Initiatives
The Early Childhood Education Initiatives team is partnering with the Child Study Center at Virginia Tech to offer a session titled “What Do I Need to Consider When Implementing Strategies Like Sticker Charts and Time Out to Manage Problematic Behaviors in Young Children?”
This session will be held March 27, noon – 1 p.m., by Zoom and will be led by Rosanna Breaux, a licensed clinical psychologist, assistant professor in Virginia Tech’s Department of Psychology, and director of the Child Study Center at Virginia Tech. This session will share effective strategies for managing problematic behaviors in young children (i.e., ages 2-6 years), as well as common issues that arise with implementation and ways to problem solve use of these strategies.
Registration is required to attend.
This is the fourth in a series of sessions that started in September 2024. The series has focused on parenting strategies to support children's social-emotional and academic well-being.
