Office for Equity and Accessibility changes name of office

From: Office for Civil Rights Compliance and Prevention Education 

The Office for Equity and Accessibility is now the Office for Civil Rights Compliance and Prevention Education. This new name better aligns with the work that we do and the mission of the university, remaining focused on ensuring that Virginia Tech is a welcoming and safe place for all faculty, staff, and students. 

We want to reassure the Virginia Tech community that while our name changes, our core values — dedication to excellence while promoting a learning and working environment free from harassment and discrimination for employees and students— remain steadfast. Our team strengthens the university’s institutional values through engagement, compliance, and education while mitigating risks.
