The Strains Ensemble is Shannon Wettstein, piano; Kyle Hutchins, saxophone; and Elizabeth Lantz, flute.

This is a portrait concert of music by Charles Nichols, and will include:

"The Fluted Bird" (2024), for solo flute and computer
"Sonder" (2021), for flute, alto saxophone, and computer
"Serenity Mask" (2024), for solo alto saxophone and computer
"Gamma" (2020), for solo piano and computer
"Virginia Triple Crown" (2024), for flute, soprano saxophone, and piano
