Spring forward with TimelyCare

From: Hokie Wellness

Losing an hour of sleep as we enter daylight saving time feels like the last thing we need. Many of us feel that we could use more hours in a day, and stress can pile up between deadlines and responsibilities. Invest some time for yourself and check out TimelyCare’s resources on time management.

A recently launched podcast within the TimelyCare platform, TimelyCast is catered to employees and students at colleges and universities. "Episode 1: An Introduction to Time Management" features a conversation on effective strategies to master our schedules between TimelyCast Host Sushi Suresh and Kristen Buglione, senior program manager for well-being and health coaching. New episodes are released every two weeks and will include topics such as stress management during uncertainty, navigating relationships, and how to thrive in the virtual classroom.

TimelyCare also has Self-Care Journeys, or a collection of videos, infographics, and short articles on a certain topic with suggestions you can practice applying in your own life. For example, the "Time Management Journey" delves into the psychology of procrastination and essential time management strategies including time blocking, task prioritization, and staying organized.

Other journeys feature resources on topics like relationships, grief, sleep, and healthy eating. They deliver information and skills through easy-to-read graphics and interactive modules, such as guided meditation and yoga.

To access both TimelyCast and Self-Care Journeys, sign in with your @vt.edu email address on the TimelyCare app or website, then navigate to the Self-Care tab and select the Journeys tab to browse offerings. For individuals needing added support, full-time faculty, staff, and non-student wage employees may also access unlimited health coaching and up to 12 free counseling sessions through TimelyCare.
