Reynolds Homestead presents 'Pride & Prejudice: A Musical Comedy' - Jan. 25-26

Virginia Tech’s Reynolds Homestead, in partnership with Clark Gas & Oil, will present “Pride and Prejudice – A Musical Comedy” theatrical performance at the Star Theatre in Stuart, Virginia, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26. 

The musical is an adaptation of the novel “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen. The plot revolves around Elizabeth Bennet, who loves books. People, however, are another story. Especially people like the pompous Mr. Darcy who threatens to ruin the happiness of her beloved sister Jane. In this imaginative, musical retelling of Austen’s classic novel, the indomitable Elizabeth Bennet attempts to find a happy ending amidst all of life’s follies and inconsistencies, especially her own. 

The two-act performance includes 18 original songs and runs approximately two hours, including an intermission. Admission is $20 for adults and $15 for youth 16 and younger. Tickets at the door will be $25 for adults and $18 for youth. Tickets can be purchased online at bit.ly/rhprideandprejudice or by visiting the Reynolds Homestead website.
